amish fireplaces
im pretty sure that also includes remote-controlled fire places. i do like how they show the amish guy carrying the box away in his horse-drawn carriage though. it also sounds like the amish are enslaved when they say that they are struggling to keep up with the demand for them.
speaking of hamilton, about two weeks ago i got a phone call when i was in the store from a hamilton student asking me if i wanted to donate money to the alumni fund or whatever. he caught me like a deer in the headlights so i agreed to donate $25 (although he initially asked me for $50). when i told him i would donate he was very gracious and asked me how post-hamilton life is, and closed by...

i think that the biggest effect taking biochemistry and genetics has had on me in the past few months is to question my faith in science, if that makes any sense. i don’t know if you remember on our beer wall we had a picture of intelligent design, and a famous biochemist from lehigh who argued that the study of biochemistry is proof of the existence of god. while i don’t agree with...
pokecancer
you guys remember a few years ago when i was taking a biology class and told you that there was a protein called “sonic hedgehog” that was responsible for development of the nervous system? well, a few months ago, a team of japanese biochemists discovered a new protein called “pikachurin”, named in honor of that lovable electric rat, pikachu. a couple of years ago though,...
driving
i didn’t get in any accidents and didn’t really come too close to any, but fucking post-holiday traffic. i left CT yesterday at 2:30, hoping to be back in philly by 7:30 to catch a showing of role models. i initially thought that would be a worst case scenario because 5 hours is twice as long as the drive is supposed to be, but instead it took me a grand total of 8 hours. by the...
